Privacy Policy
The short version
This tool collects nothing about you. There is no tracking, no cookies, no analytics, no accounts, no advertising, and no server that receives your data. Everything runs in your browser.
What data exists, and where it lives
- Sample price dataset. The app ships with a bundled file of illustrative sample prices. It contains no personal data.
- Items you add. If you use the "Add your own item" form or CSV import, those items are stored only in your browser's localStorage — a small storage area on your own device.
- Your data never leaves your device, so we cannot see, share, or be responsible for it. There is no backend, no shared database, and no sync. Nothing you type is uploaded, transmitted, or published anywhere.
- Data-source settings (BYOK). If you configure a custom JSON endpoint, the endpoint URL, field mapping, and API key are stored only in your browser's localStorage. The key is sent only to the endpoint URL you configure — there is no server of ours that could receive it. The "Remove key and wipe" button deletes the key, snapshots, and price history from your browser.
- Deleting your data. Clearing your browser's site data permanently deletes anything you added. There is no copy anywhere else to delete, because no copy ever left your device.
What we do NOT do
- No cookies (beyond the browser's own localStorage, which never leaves your device).
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or fingerprinting.
- No third-party scripts, fonts, or requests of any kind — the page makes zero network requests except loading its own files from the same site.
- No accounts, logins, or contact forms.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Because the tool is fully client-side, you can always inspect exactly what it does by reading the source code.
